Default Cedar deck prep

What are you people doing to remove the stamps and lettering on a 1 year old deck. Ho wants it stained with a cedar tone semi. Problem is the stamps are on 1/2 the boards and its still in the 30s at night. I hate to have to wash and use a cleaner.
