Default And, it has begun

A week ago I did not know when the winter slowdown would end. Now so much work I am anxious about getting free time to do all the exterior projects around my house. And, I am determined to get more time on the bicycle this year.

My wife just keeps piling on all sorts of major jobs around the house even though I keep telling her I have no idea how to do any of them. Major stuff (in my opinion). Reside the house has been on the books for a few years now. This year she's added some doozies.

"I'd like a wrap around deck around the house with a pergola so I can hang plants. I also want a covered porch. Cement steps coming down the path to the house so we don't slip during the winter."

"I don't know how to do any of that stuff."

"You built a shed by yourself."

"Yes, and nobody is allowed within 25' of it with a level or measuring tape."

For the first time since the mid-90's, I am booked up til the end of August. Not even a bit of wiggle room to squeeze in any more projects. Problem I'm having is that my local SW store gives out my name to do paperhanging because I'm the only painter that does it in my area. I don't even want the paperhanging jobs because they eat up so much time. Guess it's time to say "NO" and start riding my bicycle more. Pete, you gotta get those rides in, if, for nothing else, peace of mind.......

Exactly, Stretch. I am tripling paper hanging prices so that should help! Another option is RETIRING. I am oh so close.......
