Default Painting Treated Wood

I have a question for anyone that has input on what preparation needs to be done to paint over treated pine. The wood has been in place for 35+ years and has a shiny almost lacquer type of finish. With the tongue and grooves it will be very difficult process to strip and sand so I'm hoping there's a base primer that can be used to help the paint adhere. Thanks!
