They had been painted before.He removed 2 layers

Okay so, used XM Tile Doc. Put it in the gun. Taped up everything, absolutely everything.

I didn't have an orbital, and the belt sander wasn't being nice w/the shape of the tub, but I hand sanded it, cleaned then dried - about 5 times. The enamel missing was only a small patch and aggressive sanding only brought it out more, I stopped sanding when the enamel stopped flaking.

I'm sure it should be sanded to raw bottom here but hey... cheap-o property management company.

Good call about the mask, I am glad I listened and got the best best best. Also, the stuff is a fracking MESS! Gets everywhere, stinks, tacky, blech. Pics below are 2 coats. Obviously it looks good, but I don't trust it will hold up too long.
