Seeking your recommendation(s) re: an Airlessco 5100. Pros/Cons, parts availability, worth rebuilding/repairing? Received it free, 2 days ago, from a painting buddy, but I can't find any info, other than manuals, about it. Motor runs but doesn't prime. I would certainly appreciate your input. JD

Wanted to get your take on this
I've been hearing from more than a few of BM dealers that they are just waiting for someone to dump BM and stick with their secondary / tertiary brands so they can follow suit. One is actually thinking of being the "leader" so it's easier for others. Main reasons being the service they are getting from their reps and pricing. One or two who were "forced" to jump on the alliance program because of pricing and getting job bids / leads. For example, one of, if not the biggest BM dealer in the area, hasn't got half the jobs he did in previous years because they wouldn't drop other lines. No matter how much they sell, they will never have the lowest price on bids when BM is spec'd. Especially if a BM rep is doing the bid. If you can't rely on your own rep to bring you leads, who can you count on?

So my question to you is, have you encountered this? Or have you considered booting them but can't for the fear of losing 75% of your business?

one thing that you may or may not know. packing kits, pistons, cylinders, prime valves and pressure control components are all "express parts" and ship UPS second day at no charge. I find that their shipping fees are better than most, go figure. well if you need any aftermarket parts try my website I sell a fair amount of parts to people who have older units and can save a few bucks with the aftermarket stuff. all of my repairs are done with factory parts unless someone comes in with an old 660e or equivilent and it needs a piston or something and they dont have the money to do it with the factory stuff

Hey NC paint. saw your post about Titan . that sucks and I am very surprised but if it would help you I would be happy to sell to you what you need. they give me 40% off list and I would give you what you needed for 20% off plus shipping and could have most of what you needed shipped direct from Minneapolis. I do not usually give more than 10% off but since you are a dealer you should get something better. If this is of interest to you let me know. 781-848-2706 or [email protected].

Hello. I was hoping you could help me with a problem I ran in to the other day. I had a customer referencing Canadian colors, which have their own numbering system. I believe the color was CC-360. Anyway, I figure they pull those colors from either the Classic or Color Preview Collection, but I don't have any software or database available to cross reference the number and get the American equivalent so that I can tint it. You ever comes across this problem?

I may need your help, do you know if an old pressure control 215-860 from Graco is still available in the US, in Europe it's no longer available.

    Thanks for your effort,

I fully agree with you. I do believe they are going to get a lot of heat from retailers that spend massive monies on the new machine and the buy in(s) for the gennex platform products that ben moore is offering via the net. Just thought I'd shoot ya a note to see what thought on it.
