Thanks for the information on the Diamond ceiling paint. Since it is only a few more dollars than the Behr, I should be able to convince my friends it is worth the small extra cost. I will not need it until mid Feb. I will call you at the store when I am sure that I will need it.

How much can I get Cali Diamond ceiling from you. I think that I might need six gallons. I might be doing 1,100 square feet of popcorn for some friends in NY and trying to convince them to not use Behr. I know that six might be a bit much, but there are no cali dealers near them, and I can always use the excess.

I saw the same thing on its website. I had to go into the Dawsons in Beverly and did notice that they only appeared to have BM. But, it was a quick walk through to the plumbing section of the store so a did not look to see if they carried anything else.

Thanks, I doubt that it was a bad batch. One was pastel and the other was deep base. I have tried many of cali's paints and have been pretty happy with them. I love super scrub, but have to go to Ipswich to get it. the only other time that I have used Unite was a semi-gloss in a deep blue, and I loved it, Almost covered a deep green with one coat, and leveled really well, which was why I was a bit unhappy with the eggshell. But, the HO is very happy with the results, which is all that matters.

Question about Cali Unite Eggshell. I have used the gloss before and was very impressed. Just used the eggshell in both a deep and pastel base in the eggshell, and it did not cover in two coats, and I was not stingy with the paint. The HO was happy with the job, but if it was me I would have put a third coat on. Since I do not use Cali a lot wondering if this is a common issue with the eggshell.

Hey, just wondering how much of a heads up would you need if I wanted some California Paint. I am a little frustrated with the BC in Gloucester. Last week I ordered two five of Super Scrub, a gallon of NexTech, and some Ultraplate for a little project of my own. I told Mark that i would be painting either Wed or Thurs. Went in there on Tue. and he had not ordered the paint. Called him today, and said it had not arrived. Since they are closed to tomorrow for inventory, I will not get to paint until Monday. Luckily there is tons of prep work and I have have ceiling paint, and a little poly to start. I wouldn't want it now, but maybe the next time I need paint for this job.

Thanks for the information. I had to read the back of the Unite for the self-priming information. I have worked it out with Jason and the BC to get me the Super Scrub. Since Jason is from Gloucester he is in town a lot. But, if I run into a problem I will get in touch.

I talked to Jason Corbett, who is a Gloucester boy. Told me that Super Scrub is really good. He also mentioned Unite, but I am not a big fan of the 2 in 1 paints. How do you think Unite compares to Super Scrub? Anyways, BC does not carry Super Scrub, and they have a minimum before they order. Emailed Jason to see what it cost to get it from him direct.
