Whats your idea?You know - this article gave me a great idea - I am no longer going to give free estimates from now on unless the homeowner show that they are serious. And I have an idea as to how to go about doing this....
This was my thought as a read the article. I also agree with Homey, this was a bitter contractor who is out of business.the author is either insane or broke (maybe both).

Its the chicken and the egg...the flip side is if you work from your actual labor costs and then bump materials up to half of that (instead of the approx 10% as mentioned above), we would all be making a killing on materials.
