I am new to air assisted airless spraying, but I already have a Graco Nova 395 and a compressor, and I'd like to give AAA a shot with the purchase of a new gun (and a hopper attachment). I'll be using this for occasional fine finish jobs on cabinets, furniture, and trim.

Before I jump in, I have a few simple questions that I could use some guidance/confirmation on:
  1. Is there any reason the 395 is not an appropriate unit for converting to AAA?
  2. Is there any reason the MAC5200 wouldn't be powerful enough if paired with the 395?
  3. CA Tech's Bobcat is relatively affordable, but I am open to other brands - is there a solid gun you might recommend instead for beginning and occasional use?
