I’ve had Angi Ads for almost 2 months now. The contract I signed was to pay $550/mo where I’d get roughly 7-9 leads a month. Pretty expensive per lead, but okay. I selected my service and advertising areas at the time of setting up my account. At first, I was getting leads near me. Recently, however, it’s all been leads that are 35 minutes away. It’s so much time consumed and gas wasted for leads that don’t even give you a call back after pricing.
Well, throughout these whole 2 months, I’ve only gotten 1 job accepted. At least he is a legend and we will absolutely be working in the future. However, it has been nothing but cheapskates up till now. People on Angi Ads do not value professionalism and a painter’s time. They really think you’ll paint a house with a crew of 3-4 for $3500… Mind you, most of these leads don’t even accept in-person estimates. They will either send photos or say that minimum prep is required. Bro, how am I supposed to believe any of that? It’s a disaster waiting to happen. Imagine charging the absolute minimum to paint a house not knowing what you’re getting yourself into. The really shitty part is that we are stuck on a year-long contract. If I want to breach it, I’d have to pay 20% of the contract’s value.
Honestly, this is worth it for the headache that are these vile leads. I’d rather keep our growth organic. This chat, however, is my breaking point. I messaged her not even 5 minutes after I got her job request, and she ended up finding someone else. How are you not going to give us a chance?? In spite of all of this, I’m also glad we don’t have to work with people like this who are so cheap, yet I’m sure they want a perfect, professional job-well done. This is just a warning to anyone who is thinking about doing Angi Ads: DONT! Maybe if you’re trying to get your foot in the door. But for companies that are already established and have loyal customers, just don’t waste your time with them. Awful contract, awful $-to-lead ratio, and poor quality leads.
