Slat wall fireplace surround- started as raw MDF panels (3), the slats are actually 1/4” relief cuts into the panels. Oil primed, sanded off with 180G festool, sprayed 2x focusing on reveals, sanded off the faces then final coated. Topcoats with Emerald Urethane Satin.

Very nice. MDF is a tough substrate, especially when even semi aggressive sanding involved.

VERY nice work, but I’m somewhat confused by the title. Maybe I am missing something but where was the “dusting conundrum” - was it the fact that MDF was used? Just curious since it seems that it was a very successful project.
