Most of my cleaning involves rinsing off the cleaner.
Was wondering about cleaners and situations where that rinsing is unnecessary.
Supposedly, Krud Kutter, Dirtex, and some TSP substitutes don't need rinsing. What's your experience?

it kind of depends on what youre painting, I wipe stuff with simple green rags and dont rinse, but refinishing cabinets, and doing an actual clean of the surface should always get rinsed. at least a little.

Use zep purple degreaser and wipe off with alcohol after. U shall be good.
I use TSPE and dawn dish soap for everything. Wipe with a damp micro fibre cloth after. Works every time. For stubborn grease I'll keep some MH or real TSP close by.

Most TSP substitutes are "phosphate free" or ECO, which is the "E" in TSPE.. There's many diffent brands..MH is Methyl Hydrate or Alcohol. It's good for stubborn areas but I certainly wouldn't make my staff clean with alcohol all day. It's overkill, expensive and unhealthy.

Ah, ok. It appears Methyl Hydrate is the Canadian term for Methyl Alcohol, or Methanol. I do use Denatured Alcohol for some cleaning, but it's not as potent a solvent as mineral spirits. But mineral spirits seems to leave a bit of a residue I would be leery of trying to paint over with waterbased paints.
