I ask this question because I've done it the same way for about 18 years and I'm wondering if there are any new ideas or techniques. When teaching newbies, I try to make it pretty simple and say something like, "The most important thing to remember is that it needs to run clear when your done, whether it's thinner or water". I know some guys hang their brushes or store them overnight, any input? Thanks. 1800Upstate

Funny that you put up a link of another thread, that I clicked on and about four or so posts into that Tim Hag has a link to another thread ..Didn't go there , but it would be funny to see another link to an earlier thread and so , and so on .....
What got me chuckling on that linked to thread was this:

thanks for the info. sorry i forget that you can search forums for past topics. thanks again

That piranha tool looks good, but what about their site, saying to use hot water cleaning the brush...hot water warps nylon bristles. I could not see this tool making a huge difference over a 5,1 tool either for the roller covers.
Last week i worked with another painter and took my brushes home to clean them. With some more time and chance to soak, got the water clear and had time to let them air dry a bit. Them seemed to be very clear of paint residue. Most times i dont get the chance to clean them as thoroughly on jobs.

That's the method I've used for the past 35+ years. Guess I'll just stick with that.
A definition of sanity: Doing the same thing over and over again with the hope that you will achieve the same result. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and definitely don't over-complicate it.

carp painter has necroposted from 08. I'm admittedly a tech dummy, but ain't he a bot or whatever you call it? I haven't clicked on the wonderful products that are linked to--I'm sure, however, that they're splendid.
