I have to estimate a job that requires me to spray a 10,000 sq foot ceiling, it's not flat it's industriual meaning it has all the vent pipes etc. I have sprayed ceilings of this kind before but never had to estimate it. I'm thinking using a dryfall but I need a secure number that i can give without worrying about loosing money, I was thinking 2.50sq foot what do you guy think.

I'm not sure anyone here can answer that question, especially with the limited information provided.

If you have a crew of 8, and rent some lifts, and get 4 sprayers going at once, you could knock it down in a short amount of time, and it would cost you XX to do the job.

Or, if it's just you, and maybe a helper, and you'll be working off scaffolding, it could take you a month, and cost you XX to do it.

In short, I have no idea if $2.50 is a good price or bad.

SF/amount you can cover per hour = hours
hours x $ per hours = amount to charge for man hours

you have to play with variable like number of workers, variables like lifts,
scaffolding, supplies, other O/H items.

you can modify the above formula to be

SF/amount you can cover per hour = hours
$ per manhour Plus O/H expenses, supplies, etc. = cost to operate per hour

hours to do job x $ cost to operate per hour
= what you need to charge (minimum)

Thanks guys, I know I didn't provide much details but you know how them contractors are, i think they are providing scaffols and all that , i will use one more guy maybe two. Me and my buddy knocked off one in 5 days but we were flyign and working 12 hour shifts. I usually pay per job not hour ( find it that people work fatster lol), if i have to provide that lift it's going to cost me $100 dayand pail of dryfall costs me 120 per pail.
