Anybody have an idea how many coats it will take for a black wall to look even? The base coat is light beige. Going to bid a job this week and the lady wants black. I have never painted a black wall and could use some advice.
We recently painted a powder room all black, trim, walls, ceiling. We used BM bath/spa matte black. Two coats covered fine. The biggest problem was lighting. It didn't matter how much lighting we put in the room, the black would just swallow it up.
Nice. That sheen seems to help make the most of light too.
