I hasten to apologize in advance to George Z for this...as a Ben Moore loving guy I have to say that the eco spec base is like Moorcraft. Not a great base. By their own admission, one of the lower grade lines they have. Try the new Aura interior semi...you will think you have gone to trim paint heaven.

Ben Moore says they came to the "Green" party over a decade ago (with ecospec) and nobody cared

Fact is, we did care
It just sucked is all

It's high on the "try not to use" list

We found the Ecospec flat and eggshell ok.
We used a lot and did ok with it,
I wouldn't rate it as a top product though, just good.

george what would u consider ur top green products,,aura ,myhtic, afm safecoat, ylo colorhouse...would like to know what products u prefer
For performance and durability, I think Aura is solid.
From commercially available ones Pure Performance (PPG) performs good.
Ecospec is acceptable.
I like Farrow & Ball but it is way too expensive and their attitude sucks.
I liked Safecoat, but it has to be ordered.
I 'd love to get my hands on some Mythic(sounds like a real eco alternative)
