I thought this is brilliant. Please look @ it and let me know what you think. As a competitor of sorts, I struggled w/ posting this, but I think many of you could benefit from it. I also will determine by your input, whether to mention it to our marketing dept. or not. Thanks and if you found it thru this post and use it, "you're welcome".

I use it. There are two benefits I can see to a typical credit account with your BM dealer, 60 days interest free and miles. I've never used the 60 days but I suppose it could come in handy . . . I believe $30,000 gets you two airlines tix, continentel U.S.

I think the benefit is more to the store owner who no longer has to deal with delinquent accounts.

That covers it pretty well GMack, the store owner would also preffer Visa or Mastercard over AMEX (or Diners) for two reasons.

The transaction fee or % of sale is lower.
The store owner gets their money faster.

Originally signed up with the old card. Then all "Signature" stores did not honor it. When they went to mastercard, I had no need for another card so I don't use it.
What I really want from Ben Moore is uniform pricing amongst all its stores. Most around here need to get "real" about thier pricing.

It is a good idea
The "points" and gimmicks and stuff are OK
But really, the good stuff is you get 60 days rather than 30
And it also allows you to get "cash" price discounts from the store, but you still actually get 60 days to pay

That will never happen
Ben Moore dealers are independent paint stores
(save for a few no-profit ones the company owns and runs for marketing/marketshare reasons)
Every single one of them could be Pittsburgh dealers tomorrow
Ben Moore can not tell them what to charge any more than they can tell you what to charge
