Cedar Casement Windows Product?

Hello folks,

I have a client with nearly 30 cedar casements that haven't been treated in many years. No rot, but some discoloration and weathering. They want them removed, sanded to bare wood, and a new finish applied. The interior trim adjacent to the windows is also discolored due to condensation, so I'm wondering about the best product there as well with the occasional standing water.

Thanks!

Noah

We switched from spar to the Sikkens D&W because no one ever seemed to maintain the spar in a timely fashion. By the time they wanted anything done, it was so far gone that it meant stripping all the failed finish and starting over,

I wonder if zar might be a good option? It's waterbased (there are oil options though)and uv resistant. Should be easy(ier) to maintain. The epa continues to move us to these types of finishes, may as well go now cuz they'll be obsolete sooner than later... as an alternative, I very said it before in other threads, I like minwax ' s hybrid floor finish. Super durable, and several other good qualities. Not sure about uv though. Worth looking at anyway and not a bad price comparatively.
