Have a potential client who used an old semi trans stain on a seaside home. Now 1/2 the house has a good layer of what feels like chalk on it.

Wiping with my hand while hosing it gets most of it off but wanted to hear thoughts on best practice to remove all of it (pressure washer, pressure washer and sponge/scrub brush, etc...)?

This would be their 3rd time staining so it might come down to paint now but they would prefer not to paint. We are looking to stain again with same stain, same color (hoping to get them to try a shade darker).

Any thoughts would be greatly helpful.

Thanks

Glad to hear this isn't something worse and could be an easier job than I thought getting that "chalky" dust off before staining. Will make the suggestion on the solid stain vs semi trans and pad the prep costs a bit JIC.

Thank you Finishesbykevyn
