Since I've only been in business for a few years I'm starting to check on some of my first years work...I'm curious to see what worked well and what I need to change. Decks for instance will be monitored closely... I've used a variety of products (customer requested) on one such neighborhood...and have a running joke as to who's will last the longest!

Does anyone else do this?...has anyone learned from this? and what have you learned?

Since I do only interiors it's difficult to keep a check on them. I always find it interesting to check out my work when the opportunity arises.
When sending out Thank you cards I ask customer to call if there are any concerns or questions. I am happy to say that over the past 11 years I've had very few call backs.

I do regular check ups on my exteriors. I do a lot of interior work in the areas where I have painted exteriors so I always peek at them. I look at one a few weeks ago that was at 6 years and look all right, dirty and south side was dry (rough cedar) homeowner was home and saw me and we talked about the house and after the conversation she said go ahead and put me on the schedule for next year. it would be 7 years and I would of contacted her then. but this way i know were good to go and she's first on the list for 09'
