I had an idea the other day driving to a jobsite. In my area there are 2 to 3 crossing guards at every school. I noticed over the last couple of years that all of these crossing guards have been doing it for 3, 4, 5, 10 years, they've become neighborhood fixtures, everyone waves to them in their cars, and talks to them on the streets, they're beloved. Thats when I got the idea to start delivering them coffee once a week, or maybe once a month. I thought I could call the local paper or news crew and see if they wanted a feel good story. I was thinking that it would be easy to get a local coffee shop to even donate the coffee for the free publicity. Imagine all of the parents walking and driving their kids to school, they love the crossing guards, they protect their kids, and then they would see my company doing a friendly deed for them. Anyone think this is a good idea? Do you think it would be effective, or worth the time? Any feedback would be great, Thanks!

If it's worth doing for the right reasons, it's worth the time.

If you're doing it purely for sales purposes, who knows if it's worth the time. It could turn out to be a "george costanza gets the bank guard a chair to sit in" thing.
