Guys,

I am in the process of creating something new. It is rather expensive, but the effects of this paint is remarkable.

It is the paint that shifts color as you look at it from different angles. The effects are VERY dramatic and maybe they will be better explained if I sent a few samples out to some of you.

You can give a VERY unique finish to things and be able to charge a premium for the work.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, think back to the late 90s when they changed the mustangs from boxy to a more rounded appearance. You had SOME that had paint jobs where the color shifted from green all the way to purple. Some of you may remember that.

Where would you folks see something like this fitting in to your business?

Carter

p.s. I made the most costly aerosol in history. It would retail for more than 300 dollars and was even short filled! That would NOT be what we would try to sell though.

Depends what color it changed to and from. It would be great for the homeowner who can't make up their mind. I'd like to check it out.

Sweet Carter, you can make that into wall paint? Might be real neat for stencils and the sort. Can you choose what two colors it turns? Like Green and Purple or Red and Blue or Purple and Orange? I assume it would only come pre-tinted. What sheen would it be?

Yeah. I have made some stencils up and have been trying to make show panels out of them. I'll list the color shifts for you guys:

Blue/Red
Green/Purple
Red/Gold
Silver/Green
Magenta/Gold
Gold/Silver
Cyan/Purple

They're just... really.. cool. And you would want this to be high gloss. Apply it over your favorite dark (preferably black) base. Throw a clear over it and you'll be nice and shiny.

Cool idea but I agree that applications would be limited to very specific clients and probably out of 1000 residential customers, you might find one that's interested.
