Alright senior members....... I need your help here, and anyone else for that matter.

I have a customer who needs to paint a hanger for the Air Force and some cured concrete. Both need to be painted w/ the same material/color. Not sure what the epoxy is, or if it is epoxy. I am guessing the hanger is "light gray" in color, and like a Rustoleum 9100 epoxy. It has been painted for a few weeks, thus fully cured. I am looking to put a Urethane on both the epoxy and the cured/bare concrete.

1. How can I get a 6" wide profile on cured epoxy for my stripe?
2. The urethane won't handle bare concrete, so what primer might one suggest?
3. We are doing safety colors. Red/Yellow
4. Thanks so much!

Sorry! The 2 surfaces that need to painted are both concrete.

1. Is unpainted exterior concrete.
2. Is painted interior concrete w/ what I assuming is epoxy that has also had time to fully cure. (thus the need to "sand")

Checkout Blastrac.com. They supply concrete prepping equipment.

I did a search on Rustoleum 9100, and it appears to be a coating system for metal. Recommended top coat is Rust O Thane 9600.

When you find out what epoxy product was used, check the recoat window. You may have to create a profile or "tooth" on the areas you need to top coat. Good luck.

blastrac use's small bbs to clean, remove existing coatings, or to remove or profile any high spots on new concrete...its a self contained unit but rental is expensive and procedure is slow...I tried to remove an epoxy coating with it last year because i did not want to sand blast but not strong to remove....but this may be good for your 6" profile its worth a try...
