Hi, I'm new to this site. Not a painter, just part of Physical Plant in a Physician's Clinic and do autocad drawings, select finishes, etc. We have a building that is 20 years old. All the millwork has been stained and sealed. It's not even a pretty stain. Everyone here is convinced it would take months to paint over it and then it might not stick. Anybody ever done this? What's the process?

Sand, prime and two coats of paint. Not a huge deal, I done it plenty of times. That being said......
