Do you have a minimum job amount?

Do you guys have a minimum amount for a job? I've seen this in other fields.

Or do you sort of 'bid no less than a certain amount' if it's a real small job.

Really small things I farm to a painter... like a wall, but no.
If it's less than 1/2 day job, it's still 1/2 day rate + materials and sundries

...is that what you mean?
yep...that's what I'm referring to

I go no less then 1/2 day too, but if I don't get anything else for that day then I might even bump up to 3/4 day but never less then 1/2
I know some company around here have 1,000 min job, i would like to be at that level but im not. I prefer not go less then 450 for a job, but i make exceptiions sometimes
wow 1K huh? that's 3 days work for most guys...
I guess I can see this if you have 3 guys on 1 job to bang it out in a day.

Eh.... hmmm.... :whistling2:
just labor...lol

sorry

was just rough estimating it
I made a vow a long time ago to not show up for less than $300. Gutter cleaning it's $200. If you want to pay less call a handyman...
Our minimum is $250. But to get that price they have to be flexible on scheduling. Most of our work is in a small area, so doing a door or a bathroom is usually fairly easy to squeeze in if they are flexible. I just send one guy to do it when the crew is nearby.

But usually I try to sell a bigger job, particularly if it won't be easy to schedule.

I do no job in the hot part of the season, May through Oct, for less than $400 min. In slow times I will drop to $350. I never do any 1/2 day rates ever.

We charge 400 per man per day material plus 20-30% overhead. Very rearly we accept jobs under 1,000. We usually sub them out to a trusted source.
I used to have a $1200 minimum. Now that things are slower, I'll send guys to do it and tell them to charge an extra $100 for me.
small jobs to us are considered a service call.one day,one man plus material.hope this helps.simple jobs only, spot spackle and paint.all else xxxtra.good luck to all.
