"Follow your passion, and success will follow you."

This is a great quote, and I am happy to say that painting is somewhat of a passion of mine and am happy to be able to start a career out of it. I love seeing the 'before and after', the smile on the customers face (most of the time ;)) and just the general satisfaction of doing a good job. Yes I love painting and I hope someday I can look back and say I'm happy with what I have done.

Yep I started my business because I enjoy it. I guess it is one of the ways I express my creative side. For some it is music, others wall art, etc. I enjoy seeing the finished product.

Someone asked me other day...Are you glad the job is over...

I said as a painter you like to start a new job, and see one finished..

There are very few things that make me happier that when I'm painting. It's almost as theraputic as listening to music for me...almost

Yes. I love the challenge it offers; like a tricky stair case or bringing some ancient trim back to life from 10000 layers of paint. I am a Zen painter, one stroke at a time.

I love it...It's great for those of us who have an instant gratification personality.. The problem solving.. Bringing new life.. For me, if I get sick of it after 4 days I go do my fulltime job for 4 days and then I'm back with a fresh start.. If it's a new construction think about ALL the other cats that have been in there doing their job, carpenter, elect, plumber, etc... The painter is always the one to get "praise" from the customer in the end.. Most of the time...

I love it, I can get into a "zone" when I'm painting. No body around to bother you(usually) and it allows me to think. The part I don't care for is the prep, it seems like on some jobs the prep takes forever, but the finished product reflects the amount of prep done.Guess I need to hire soneone to do the prep then I'd be all happy.
