I bought some cheap software and use godaddy as my host. I did my site myself just to get one up and running. I will upgrade to a professional site in time. Since my work is more consultative i don't have as big a need. I would recommend that any serious paint company have a pro design a site for them.

A friend recommended godaddy. No complaints. I have a few names registered with them

I always used http://www.onehostvision.com/ as a friend used them. They are the absolute best customer service out there in my opinion. He'll get on MSN, mail, or phone & help you out with anything anytime. So he pretty much did everything for me when I knew nothing about everything website related (free too). Sites were always fast & working unless they were doing a quick upgrade, which they give fair warning of.

For what its worth, I use myhosting.com . I've read some good and some bad reviews on them but I also read some good and bad stuff about godaddy.com. So when it came down to it I just went with my gut. I built my own site using their sitebuilder product (www.austinpaintcompany.com) and the total upfront cost was exactly $0. They charge me $15 per month- payable monthly. I have never had any problems in 2+ years of using them.

I think the site is pretty okay considering it was basically free. I used to run a staffing company (www.capellasolutions.com) and it cost me a thousand bucks to have someone design/build the site. Then they would charge me out the :censored: every time I wanted to change something.

With my current deal it is dirt cheap, looks professional enough, has been very reliable, I speak to a live person when I need help, and I can make any changes I want whenever I want for free.

As much as I like Danica Patrick, I still have to recommend myhosting.com

Just some friendly advice from my experience.

Good luck with it.

Here is what I know:

We have been with Oneworldhosting.com for years... However, we decided to change when they changed to new servers and had our site down for almost a week...

So... i did MAJOR research... I narrowed it down between HostGator.com and ______ <--- Can't remember the other name...

Then, someone told me to use 1&1 and I signed up without doing the depth of research that i had done with the others... BIG MISTAKE!!! It sucked and I had to file an Internet Fraud complaint to get them to refund my money. So... whatever you do... don't use 1&1...

Now... Hostgator.com seems to be really good... and one of the most economical!
