Has anybody ever heard of or used this product? Its for sealing cement basement floors. A customer is having problems with water coming up through the floor and wants me to apply enduroseal. I feel he needs to have a french drain installed with the amount of water he gets. He insists using this product. I'm not sure it will solve his problem. Any thoughts on the subject? http://enduroseal.com/

Hi Tim,

I'm familiar with most of their products. Which product is it that they want you to apply? They have a bunch of them. (In general, if you get the right product and apply if properly... it's probably going to work!)
Thanks Wolverine, not sure of the exact product but, I'll take your word on it. I'll find out what product and let ya know

I become aware of more newly formulated waterproofing products frequently, but I would resolve that water problem with drains first.
Certainly would be reluctant to guarantee anything!
(I have had epoxy floor products over concrete blister... badly. And there was no clue of a groundwater problem when we applied it.)

Tmrrptr, there is no way i would guarantee this job.I told him what my thoughtd were. It will be on him in writing if there were to be any future problems.

My thoughts are that the only times I've ever been hosed on projects, are when I went and did something against my gut

Even with a warranty waiver, things can still bite you in the butt
Doesn't mean you don't get the calls when it doesn't work, have an unhappy customer, doing free/cheap work to get him to stop bothering you...have him bragging to all his friends on how your work didn't hold....
It is your name on it (the project)

Just thought I'd pass that along
Ha!

There it is, again...

Bad news travels faster than the speed of sound!

So true.

And your name WILL be attached, if it goes bad.

Up date on the subject, Ho wants to do it himself and thats no sweat of my back. I hear and know what you guys are saying about the bad news and my name being attached. Thats one thing i never want to experience for any reason. Thanks.

Speaking of water, We recently painted brick in a basement. we used drylock to seal it and a few Coats of acrylic on top. Within six months this Nasty goo or something is accumulating that wipes off pretty easily but seems to be Coming through the brick. Any ideas on sealing that in?
