Hello All,

I am looking for information regarding quoting an exterior painting project on the Jersey shore. I have not quoted an exterior job in quite sometime and would like to know what the average square foot price would be so I can give a solid quote without low-balling my colleagues in the area. The house is 2,070 total square feet. The house is wood shake and needs to be scraped. Then I will be adding a coat of Sherwin-Williams Peel Bond to fill in the scraped areas and tiny micro gaps in the old paint. Then I will be painting the exterior with 2 coats of paint. The trim will take 1 day with 2 people on top of the painting of all the siding. Please let me know what the going rate should be for a project like this one in Monmouth County New Jersey.

is the typical response you'll get in here when a newby asks about prices.

seriously, don't take the incoming bombs personally.;)

the variables involved make it almost impossible to answer these questions with any accuracy.

If you don't already know, you shouldn't be doing it. I mean seriously. What trade does this? Your costs (overhead) + materials + profit = price

Hello, I'm a mechanic and I'm doing a brake job in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Its a 99 Buick regal with 4 wheel disc. I plan on spending 2 hours on the job using OEM replacement parts.....how much do I charge?

Um how about having a minimum amount of days before you can post. Seems fair. Maybe they will bounce around the site before they talk.
And miss this?!? As soon as I see the word "quote" or "bid" in a title I can't click on it fast enough!
