Forgive me if this is a redundant thread. Point me in the right direction if so.

Don't get me wrong, I can cut in with the best. But, I find it easier both time-wise and quality-wise to make the sides of trim adhere to the siding or wall color while setting myself up to make the straight line on the front edge of the trim. HO's like it and I like it.

I do it both ways. On a repaint I will typically do it how ever it was done before unless it is something that is voiced prior.
on NC stuff I paint the corner boards trim and the siding siding.

have seen it both ways, only painted it the way you speak though. Eff paintin the trim the by it's self and siding diff on lap siding... no thanks... or it is more.
