I had a customer contact us today asking if we knew of anything that we could put in paint to stop squirrels from chewing up their house! I have never heard of any "squirrel additive". Have any of you ever put anything in paint to hinder this? I know you think I am crazy, but at least I am "asking around" as I promised.;)

And in the same vein, don't believe the hype about that hot pepper "Critter Ridder" either
The squirrels at my place love that stuff
...'course the woodchuck loves the fresh cilantro in the herb garden too...
I'll bet they are getting together for Lil Furry Mexican Night twice a week

I think he wants to keep the squirrels out though, Michelle ;)
nice pic though, where did ya come up with something like that?

This historic church I was working on had a cedar shake roof which had squirrel damage, they just stuck some alum. flashing in it. Looks terrible.

At one point the owner did have it repaired and then put some aluminum flashing covering their little "spots". Well, he removed the flashing cuz he thought the squirrels were gone and he thought the flashing was ugly. Didn't last long, squirrels were back to their madness instantly. Maybe a BB gun might be the answer!

I painted some pillars that rodents where gnawing on with the Rymar hot pepper additive and it worked. 3 years later, there are no toothmarks on it. But, I am further up north so maybe our squirrels have not developed a taste for spicy food yet here.
