How do you prep galv. gutters. They are new by the way.

I've heard that new galv. metal needs to be weathered for at least 6 months before painting.

You need to etch the metal somehow and deal with the slick factory coating-there are a bunch of different products on the market, but I've heard that a lot of folks have just used vinegar

Prime with a primer specific for galv. metal

Paint with a quality topcoat

It's been a long time since I've dealt with galv. metal, but if I recall, the procedure was to wash it down with vinegar and coat with a 100% acrylic paint.

So does Ben Moore, but it's not as helpful, IMHO.

Jackrabbit method is how I'd do it... it w vinegar, flush it, then I'd use DTM.
