Hi guys,
It's been awhile since I've posted anything, but I could think of only one place to get advice and opinions on this next project. I've been hired to paint a 20' x 20' qr code for a bakery. If you don't know what a qr code is. it's just a square code that smart phones can scan, and it directs to a webpage, phone number, message, etc.
In this case the code will lead to a commecial that makes fun of the competition, kind of in bad taste really, but that doesn't relate to my job.
I figured most of you guys are tech savvy enough to actually know what these codes are and ways to use them. I've already made the code using a service called qrhost they claim to offer unlimited hosting and unlimited scans for free, so I guess I'll go with that since I've read online that other codes stop working after a certain number of scans.
The plan is to print the code out in 3' sheets, I've already talked to a few print shops that said they can print it that way. After I get the sheets I wants to cut out the code in numbered squares. Next I plan to chalk line a 20 x 20 square on the building where they want the code to go. I will then tape up the sqaures like a puzzle to make the entire code. once it's all up, I'll tape around the cut edges to make a clean line. Then I'll simply spray over it with a hvlp, I want to use the hvlp to try to make the edges look rounded, then i want to add some shadowing and glossy effects.
Atleast that's my plan for now, but I was hoping someone had some better ideas. I'll have a couple of days in this easy, I would like to spend no more than a day on it.
