People almost expect you to have one. If you don't, no matter where you live....you are behind the times. Thing is, you may just be missing out on what others have been enjoying for years. We live in an internet world now. Whether we like that or not, it doesn't change the fact that it's true.

I'm suprised to hear painters say they don't have a website. It really is like someone saying they don't have a cell phone in this day and age.

Oh, and a website can start as low as $10 a month and can go up well over $1000 after all is said and done-it's all about what you want your site to do for you.

Since moving back to CT. my web site is doing all the work! We are marketing more decorative and no straight painting and the phone is ringing from the web. We dont advertise. I spend $15 a month for a business web site server, (can run 4 individual sites). It was paid for life from the first job.
Paying a $1000 a month is crazy though. Thats maybe if your running a store with shopping carts. It might cost that in intial building of the site but once going you dont need to change that often and its not hard for minor stuff. I do my own, we do hire someone occasionally for design on the dpap.org site but it does evolve with projects. There are site builders out there now that are easy.
