Greetings everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!
My name is Doug Elkins and I have recently launched my own painting business (Final Coat Professional Painting) in Murfreesboro, TN. We moved here early summer in order to be a part of our new "miracle" granddaughter's life!
While I grew up in the construction business (spent several years working with my father who was a masonry contractor), I was away from the industry while pursuing a career in retail management and also as an air traffic controller. For many years I did some painting projects as a filler on the side. About three years ago I started working with my brother-in-law who had stepped out of retail management and started his own painting business. So I have been full time in the painting field for that time.
I enjoy working with my clients in helping them to achieve the results and transformation that they are looking for. There is little more satisfying that having a client say "Thank You" for a good job.
Aside from my granddaughter and my painting business, we are also very actively engaged in the ministry. We conduct church growth and leadership training. We also are involved as missionaries and generally try to conduct a missions trip annually. We spent a significant amount of time in the Baltic States over a three year period and most of our work has been in that region.
I look forward to gaining valuable insights and information on building my business and improving my techniques through this forum!
