Hello fellow paint nerds and professionals! I am new to the forum so I thought I'd introduce myself. I am from the upstate New York area. I am a typical paint nerd through and through. I absolutely love my trade and I will probably be doing it until my arms fall off or I am too senile to understand what a paintbrush is. I am relatively young and new to the game. I have only been at it a few years. I hope to learn something from you seasoned painters out there. See ya around!

PS. Are there many girls on this forum or am I like one of very few?

Welcome from southern WI.
Pro, how do you title your links?
First I locate the link I want to insert in my post. Highlight the URL with the mouse, right click it, and COPY. I write out the post as I want it to appear. I use my mouse to highlight the word I want the link in. While the word is still highlighted, I click on the 'Insert Link' icon. PASTE the link into the window that pops up, and click OK. Done.

Honestly? Pretty rough. The economy around here is pretty shaky. There isnt a ton of new construction going up and most HO's seem to have the "Oh painting isnt hard I can do it myself" attitude. The worst of it is that we get alot of guys with little to no experience painting professionally that decide they want to "paint on the side" for peanuts leaving the more experienced and justifiably more expensive contractors out in the cold at times. Alot of HO's go with dirt cheap over quality. And I mean dirt cheap. Most of these a-holes dont even have a toolbag or 5'er. For that matter, I doubt they would know what to put into one. I, personally, do alright though. I am told more stable work is down toward Scranton.
