Hello Everyone on Paint Talk! My name is Tibs and I am originally from Romania. I come from a family of Painters and began painting 11 years ago after moving to Chicago.
I came to Florida a few yrs ago to paint the Central Ybor area with the intentions of returning to Chicago. But then I met my fiancee & decided to move to Florida. It has been interesting not having the connections I had in Chicago and not knowing my legal rights as a painter hired on by a contractor since I had always worked within a large company or with family/friends.
My current boss just informed me a month ago that he wouldn't give me any more work until I applied for my LLC. I did just that and now I am in the process of trying to figure out how to start my own business or what I got myself into.
I look forward to this forum & learning more about the business side of becoming a Contractor/Business owner.
