hello painters,
i've been painting for 12 years, 8 of those on my own. up until a couple of years ago, i just did it because the $ was good and i hadnt decided on another trade. now im 30 years old, and for the past 2 years i've been trying to get legit. got my license got a logo made, and would like to turn this into a good profitable business. i'd like to know as far as the book keeping, managing, hiring, estimating... basically all the business aspects of the trade. what books or programs do you guys recommend? thanks for any help:)

There is some info on this forum that would help you, just look around and see what's here. I would hire a good accountant if I were you.

I love mine, I give him what he asks for and he takes care of the rest for a very reasonable fee. I wouldn't have time to do all I do know if I had all that to worry about.

On a personal note, can you maybe try to use correct punctuation when typing. Specifically capitalize words that begin a sentence. It makes reading your posts much easier.
