Hi, new here, about to take delivery on 12 pre-hung interior doors from lowes and would like to paint them myself. I believe they're primed. I've heard the primer on them is not that good.

Questions:

Should I remove the primer? If not can I put oil based paint over the existing primer?

I've always thought oil based paint is nice for doors and trim, yes or too much extra work or are todays latex paints just as good.

Spray or brush and roller?

Hire a professional?
