Trying to figure the best way to paint a poured basement wall that was formed like bricks. I am thinking wire brush the grooves but didnt know if anybody had any ideas or tricks that has worked for them. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Masonry primer applied with a 1" - 1 1/2" nap.
Repeat process with acrylic finish coat.
This is exactly what I do as well. I'll use something like loxon for the primer typically, but there are many products out there...but stick to big brands...no **** depot or hardware store stuff

I used the behr interior primer for a flipper house last year and thought if was fine, but I would be very suspect of using anything but the best available to prime concrete that was below grade!
Loxon would give me a lot more confidence, but I still would offer only a year's warranty on workmanship.
