Been compiling the digital pictures and want to set up a website. how much should I expect to spend? Are these websites that you can setup yourself for free or short money any good? If I hire someone to build one for me, can I manage it myself after? Is my digital camera good enough? 5 years old
I apologize for the series of questions, but any suggestions would be aprreciated. I've already wasted a bunch of time trying to research this onlline and don't want to start wasting money as well on garbage.

Hey Pete, there are lots of info on this exact topic here on the site. Just use the search option and I'm sure you will find some of the answers you are looking for. Plus, PWG gave you a link, check it out bro.

Remember, you get what you pay for. Those self-made and cheapos won't bring you any traffic which = no leads.

A cheapo site is better than NO site. BUT, put a little more investment into something nice. You should consider BARTER to get one up. I just got mine up a couple of weeks ago www.HamptonRoadsPainters.com and will be making changes to it after the spring. Hopefully the Employee Application link will be up REAL soon and I will change out for better pictures in a couple of months.

Depending what you have to spend will all depend on the type of site you will have. I always wanted to set mine up where my clients could log on and view any past estimates that I scan in on pdf, plus the ability to view projects that have been completed with photos and info on the colors used in each room just by logging in. Also I wanted them to have the ability to be able to make payment by credit card. I should set up a template site with all the functionality and then enable it to be customized for design. In addition I would like them to be able to leave comments about there job that could be used as testimonials.
