I just recently finshed a house 2800sqft, crown thru out, foyer 18' catherdial ceilings..Very nice they wanted to use SW paint... which im a big Ben Moore fan.. I usally use Devoe Velour oil so when I went to SW I asked for a product simular to that well he gave me ProClassic it was spitting out of my gun..dont know why my gun was cleaned new tip and filter...so I used some Penatrol helped... i got him to switch out the rest to Pro200 oil..which worked a hell of alot better than Proclassic.. I also used Builders Soultions Matte on the walls... I must say That is some of the better paint that i have painted with going over oil around doors and windows the second coat covered great...and touch ups you didnt even see them.. Their OIL sucks but the latex Builders soultions is on my list

Big fight over Pro Classic at my company. I like Muralo (latex), Pop's and most of my help like Pro Classic (again latex). Is the "Builders Solution" oil based?

biker..builders solution is latex...and a really good product IMO

I applaud you nuview for dipping into SW products...too many guys are just so stuck on using 1 brand just for the fact that they can and for argument sake, instead of realizing it would make them a more well rounded and possibly a more marketable painter

Is this primarily an interior paint? Never heard of it. I use SW for everything except that which a client wants to use something else... But never heard of this Builder Solution. New? I'll go look it up on their site...

J, pretty sure it is only interior. I think the first time I used BS was around 4 years ago. I'm not sure when it came out, but it's not new as far as I know.

I called SW today to check on this product and from what I understood, it's an upgrade from their Contractor's Series. My store did not carry the product which is why I never heard of it. I guess the store in the next town has it. I don't do too many jobs that require less quality than ProMar200XP/Duration interior for new construction. Although these row-homes I am just finishing up are an exception and it looks like we may be using the Contractor's low sheen for the interior. The builder doesn't really care all that much and wants to keep the costs low.

It doesn't look like a product I might use but then I haven't done an interior repaint with matte either... perhaps my time will come...

You'd be surprised at the things you discover when you try something new. I used to be devoted to Ben Moore. I had a job last fall that called for a color from the paint store's own brand, and I decided on a whim to try the house brand equivalent and ended up loving it. And, it's about $7 less per gallon:thumbup:
