Hi, my name is Gina and I work for a leading water based resin manufacturer. We develop resins for use in decorative paints. I am looking for painters who could give an hour or so of time (at your leisure) to brush out 5 paints and comment of application properties. Your feedback goes into developing new products for paint manufacturers - before the products come to you. Here's a chance to influence future products with your input! We're interested in hearing your views on what is needed to make better trim paints and improve water based paints in general! If you are interested, please post a response. As a token of appreciation, you will also receive a nice digital camera for your effort in this project! Thanks, and hope to hear from some of you soon!!

Thanks for the quick response. I can get you more details on the camera. I had asked the webmaster permission to post this first - I'm not really looking for business (we don't sell paint), just some help. Thanks for the comments though.

I'd have to know more about the camera to see if it was worth my time.

But, on another note, you might want to read the rules on advertising for this site.

Thanks for that. I'd probably be interested in testing it out. And I wasn't knocking the camera, but you can buy one nowadays for a couple bucks at any drug store. Was just curious as to what it might be, if it would be worthy of keeping in the truck for job photos or similar.

My understanding is that is it going to be pretty decent. We're buying in the range of $150 - $200 each, so would be great for business or personal use.

Gina,

Although I've stopped applying paints professionally a number of years ago, I think my evaluation of application properties would be meaningful and am always interested in new resins. (BTW, I install wallcoverings and apply gazillions s.f. of acrylic based prep coat yearly)

If you'd like to count me in, I'd be happy to help.

Bill,
Great. Thanks for includiing your email - I will contact you directly when it is time to send out the paints. We're looking for about 15 people across the US to help, and an additional 10 in north eastern MA, where we are located to come in and help. Looking forward to working with you!

Gina, does your company manufacture any other type of resins? For example a water soluble linseed/alkyd with high acid value maybe? I am looking for something in that category which is why I ask.
