Great to have you here Tom.
Life's treating me pretty well. I live in Austin Texas now and we really like it here. But I miss those stucco homes which I found really easy to estimate. Everything around here is stone and stained wood.
I've been in the painting business for about 30 years now. Started out back in the days when I could buy a can of flat interior for $6.00. I've never worked for another painter. I've had my business in 3 areas of the country. I learned quality in N.J., production in Fla., and have put them together up here in Vermont.
The best part of what we do is that we serve people of all walks of life. Respect them and give them what they deserve, and you'll find that they will respect you equally. Once you develop that kind of a relationship with your clients you'll find that generating the work is the easy part of running a business. You'll also look back, like I, and say that it's been the most rewarding part of being in business for yourself.
