Help! I have a problem when I seal latex cabinets. I always have these spots where it looks like I haven't covered an area when I have. You can see them when you look at the cabinet from an angle. I use Minwax and a brush. Is there anything that I can do differently to stop this?

How many coats are you putting on?

Is this on raw wood? Stain or poly? Minwax makes a lot of products.

My first guess is that the wood is very porous and most of your product is soaking in and not creating a uniformity of sheen. To correct this problem I would use a sanding sealer and then do two coats of whatever oil based polyurethane you want.

But that's all a guess based on the info you have given.

hmmm, my only other guess is make sure you're doing long strokes...it sounds like your getting that typical 'side flashing' from playing with it too much...remember...you're sealing-not working it in at this point ;)
