ghirardelli built a house like this here. Looks like its built for some company to use for entertaining guests and executive parties and not someone living there.
I LOVE the phrase, "Agressively White"!

The link goes to a rather amusing site with more, FYI.

I dunno. Looks like all the houses around here where an"interior designer" was involved. They all look the same.

I painted out a big house last winter entirely in Chantilly Lace. Ceilings, walls, trim, doors, kitchen cabinets, tile in bathrooms, everything (except the floors). They've got a 2 year old kid. Can't wait until the spaghettios start flying and grubby little hands start mashing stuff all over everything.

One of the carpenters started wearing sun glasses inside when he was working and kept grumbling about the place being an asylum.

It's been a trend that's being going on for the past 5 years or so. Personally I kind of hate it.

McMansion humor….Dining room pictured in a whimsical McMansion I worked on spanning nearly 20 years.

Although the following Maurizio Cattelan wax sculpture pictured is now in a gallery on public display, it was originally purchased by the client and installed in the entry foyer floor at the same home pictured above.

The client also had a set of Maurizio Cattelan miniature elevators like the ones pictured installed in the entry foyer along with a ten foot rubber alligator not pictured guarding the entry door. The art handler freaked when we were prepping the adjoining drywall for wall coverings after not realizing how expensive the elevators were..

Most of the whites pictured @ the following link to home were Chantilly Lace which was the first and only time I’ve had that color spec’d out and/or used it..

That has a strong Lemony Snicket vibe!

Yep. Just a few months ago, I painted some cabinets for a young couple. They were brand new factory painted with Cloud White I think. She wanted them Chantilly lace! $6500 correction if I remember.
I'd bet if you only did the top Chantilly Lace and left the bottoms Cloud White they wouldn't even notice.

I live/work in suburban Hell. The words "Chantilly Lace" or "Decorator White" is a red flag that this person will be a PITA!
Sherwin can't match it either, the closest they can get is just extra white which doesn't really match. I did it once and was praying it wasn't questioned, luckily for me it wasn't and they loved it but never again. Of course two days later I see a thread on the Sherwin employee reddit sub forum talking about Chantilly Lace and how it's impossible to get a good match.

Hmmmm,
"painters racism" lol
I painted Chantilly Lace and Decorators White and other whites for many customers, and all of them were very nice people.
No PITA incidents, but that might be due to my friendly personality.
Of course I always explain to them that those particular white colors might require an extra coat of paint to bring the proper color definition.

I thought they could get those in their high reflective white base? Of course it would then take 4-5 coats in their product. :p

benjaminmoore makes heavy use of 'grey' pigment which SW doesn't have. So I think they would get close but more often you would find them just giving you high reflective white and not even tinting it

It took 4 coats of Extra White Emerald, high reflective would've been another one or two more. 😧

About S&W white, you probably know this, I didn't notice right away but their white is sorta yellowish. I noticed it after painting the cabinets with Behr waterbased alkyd white. Both were semi gloss but the behr was much whiter. Or is that an alkyd thing not a manufacturer thing?
