Has any one used MDC ceramic paint? I have a designer that reps it,
has it on her own kitchen cabinets-and loves it. Just wondering how user friendly it is. My understanding is it is $49/gal and it takes 3 days for them to color match-not user friendly in my opinion.

The only ceramic paint i know of is the kind use as an additive to exterior paint. It's the stuff a couple companies sell in Florida that they claim is used on the space shuttle for insulation upon reentry. So you add it to your exterior paint and your supposed to raise your R-value and save money on your electric bill. A friend sold a lot of jobs with it so I tried it on my own house. IDK ! Hard to tell if its a gimick. I think it may be. If it was any help it all its so small you can't see a change from month to month. Can't remember how much i paid, but it was significant. Maybe 10/gal added give or take 2 bucks.

California makes a great interior ceramic paint. It is very scrubbable (real word?) I have used it in kitchens with good results. Its 40ish a gallon. If memory serves, it can be tinted to make a great red....
