I am a member of The NAPP as are a lot of the members here and on CT.com. I consider it the best money I have ever spent, as I have said. You will have no better boost to your business or your business skills.

I have even gone so far as to recommend it to other tradesmen I know who aren't painters because I think the solid business principals will translate into all remodeling and construction fields.

Join. What are you waiting for...

Just became a member in the last few days. if you are looking to grow your business, or improve your business by implementing ideas and systems it seems to be the way to go.
Growing up around the paint business (I am 46) I know how to paint and even have some business savy. NAPP provides tools and ideas to take it further. I am just going by the ton of resources I have skimmed over. If you improve one weak area of your business, then the price of membership is worth the money.

I guess I need my hand held.
That's what I do best!

We get together for a weekly Teleconference. Sometimes we have specific problems to work through, sometimes we just discuss the industry and our day to day. It's an excellent way to network and bounce ideas off of people who are in a similar situation.

Right now it's on hold because we are all waiting for the busy season to end, but when we pick it up again we will be continuing a marketing workshop, then moving on to a Commercial maintenance workshop.

Mark Havens leads the group for most of the calls. They are once a week, every other week in the summer for about two hours.

I have been doing it for about a year now and I look forward to every week. We all have become good friends as well. We even call each other during the week to talk about specific issues and random things.

We have also been trying to plan a face to face meeting to work through NAPP's "In Gear Business Management Series" but one of the members, Sean Kennedy, just had a baby (Congrats Sean!) so that may be far in the future.
