Hey there! I've been surfin these boards for awhile now and haven't introduced myself...

My name is Paul and I'm the owner of Platinum Painting Professionals LLC (LLC as of last week:)) I came to learn, to contribute where I can and sometimes get a good laugh. I've been painting for 13 years and recently took the leap into independent contracting. Through the process of starting my business I've realized how much I need to really analyze my goals, and slooow down before I follow my first impulse.... its a bit overwhelming at times. I've read so many articles on here that have smashed a lot of what I thought I knew http://www.painttalk.com/showthread.php?t=1226, which is a VERY good thing.

I am in the process of hammering out my business plan and a marketing plan. Next week I'll be attending a seminar at my local S.C.O.R.E. office and meeting with a score counselor the following day. Also reading The E-Myth Contractor...good stuff. The winter makes me anxious because I know the work could/will slow down. While I am still in the planning stages I'm sub-contracting from a former employer, contracting on my own...but waiting till my plan and logo are polished before officially launching under my business name.

Thanks for reading this super long intro o'mine....happy painting:gunsmilie:

Please ditch the all bold font, we hear ya!
Sorry bout that, I must have hit the wrong shortcut key when I was spell checking my post...I didn't realize it till I saw your reply...I copy and paste what I write into ms word to spell check before I post because the spell check built in here lets some things go.

Hello Paul

I'm gonna get my butt kicked for this. This is the best football team in the world.

Where you boys get off calling your sport football, I really don't know.
What you boys really play is Rugby. Having said that, our Rugby is harder than your "football", we do not need as much padding as your boys wear, if any.

We've been crap recently tho'... Tut! Tut!

Helmets, those are for motor racing.
Aaaanyway, you should be thanking us for David Beckham :whistling2:

May I say welcome tho', Paul.

Now kick my smelly butt all the way back to Englandland.

All tho I agree with the naming our game football since your football was around longer... But I would like to see one of your rugby players get hit by a 350 lb big line man... There is reason they were pads.. ask Joe Theisman..

I too would like to see your giants of men plough thru our midgets like a train.
How do you grow these men so big. I'd like to be half as big.
It amazes me how someone so big huge can fly down the line like they do.

Keep Busy fella's.

I believe it is called HGH (human growth hormone) and red meat. Great combo for big, fast and stupid. Not so great for life expectancy though.

Painttofish

Pop some into where you fish, I reckon you'll have some fisherman's tales to tell then. 350lb fish fed on HGH.
Give some to Crow and the catfish gang

Keep Busy!
