Done it on 20 or so houses. Only ever did the first coat though as you need it up to caulk, putty, and second coat.anyone ever been asked to paint trim before its nailed up??
tony, We do the finish coat after install. There is not much putty and very little sanding if at any cause you are only covering small nail holes. We have much success using MH, I'll have to look at the product to get the true name due to poor google search success.JNLP After you putty and caulk do you just put on one more coat of finish? It seems that we tried it this way in the past and all the putty flashed! Mabey we are using the wrong kind of putty(easy sand 90). After caulk and putty we usually re-prime and then finish, but I would love to not prime if not necessary. Can you clarify products and procedure? Thanks.
