Yes, they are a requirement for my employees. Like to go to logo t-shirts this year, just not quite large enough. (yet!)

I found a local place that silkscreens shirts for 6 bucks each. There was a set up fee of 60 bucks. New employees get 3 shirts and 2 pairs of white ****ies on the first day. For Christmas I had Carhartt sweatshirts embroidered with logo and employees name. I think we look very professional on the job! And it is free advertising.
Even if you are solo or 2 man, you should really consider it.

can't stand the starchy tight painters pants. I buy the carhardt painter pants. Roomy and soft fabric. They are a bit more pricey but my boys appreciate it. I just have to be more thoughtful of wiping my caulk or paint finger on them.

requirement?

All kidding aside, are painters whites a requirement with you pros?
...It's just what we wear! They work well, and identify you as a professional.

I use the brand you can't say on VB, but there is at least one other brand in my local market.

Makes things easier in the morning...
I grab a white shirt after I put my white shorts on, then I put on white socks and white tennis shoes. Grab a white hat on the way out the door. There's a white jacket in the truck if needed.

Not too much time spent thinking about if this clashes with that when I'm meeting a client to discuss color schemes.

It's been pointed out elsewhere that other painters may be impressed with a well used set of whites, decorated with the last 20 tones applied, but when meeting clients, a fresh set of whites is the way to go. Looks better.

It's a Forrest Gump deal... One less thing to worry about.
